Arti-Fol® Metallic 12μ is a high-tech control film with significantly improved properties. This control film consists of a metallised polyester film (Shimstock film) with a thin thickness of 12μ. The combination of a dye layer and a metallised polyester film has clear advantages in some applications. The foil is characterized by very good dye transfer. Particularly on porcelain and polished metal surfaces, the contact points are clear. Thanks to the use of metallised foil, the problem of static electricity has been largely eliminated. The foils can be easily applied without tweezers. The material is also very resistant to tearing and therefore can be successfully used to control the chewing surface of the tooth. Unlike traditional metallic foils, Arti-Fol® Metallic marks precisely the contact points. Thanks to the metallised reverse side of the foil, the side with the dye layer is easy to distinguish. Arti-Fol® Metallic, thanks to its high tensile strength and low material thickness, is ideally suited for the control of contact points when placing bridges or crowns.
