The product category "Professional magnifying and flat dental mirrors in various sizes" includes mirrors dedicated to dental use. They are characterized by a special shape that allows better visibility in the mouth and ensures precise work.
Dental mirrors can be rhodium-plated, which means their surface is smooth and uniform, making them easier to disinfect and keep clean. Patient mirrors are also available, which are equipped with a handle that allows the patient to independently check the dentist's work.
Magnifying mirrors are mirrors with an additional line of lenses, which increase the image and enable better imaging of details in the mouth. Unlike standard mirrors, dental mirrors are made of materials resistant to disinfectants and resistant to mechanical damage, which allows them to be used repeatedly.
Rhodium-plated mirrors and ordinary differences
Rhodium-plated and non-rhoded dental mirrors differ primarily in the type of coating on their surface. Rhodium-plated mirrors are covered with a thin layer of precious metals, such as platinum or gold. This coating increases the mirror's resistance to corrosion and mechanical damage, which translates into their longer service life.
In contrast, non-eroded mirrors are usually made of shiny stainless steel, which is resistant to corrosion due to the chromium content of the alloy. However, compared to rhodium-plated mirrors, non-eroded mirrors are more susceptible to scratches and mechanical damage, which negatively affects their image quality and durability.
