Ultrapak #000 black - Knitted retraction cord

Ultrapak thread is made of 100% cotton, formed into thousands of tiny loops, forming long interlocking chains. Thanks to this unique weave, the threads exert a light and constant outward pressure after being stuffed as the loops try to unwind. Optimal tissue retraction occurs after 1–3 minutes.

Ultrapak cord can also be used to deliver ferric sulphate solutions under the gingiva to stop the flow of gingival fluid. Ultrapak suture is intended to assist bleeding control techniques and the effects of ViscoStat or Astringedent hemostatic agents . Traditional techniques using alum, aluminum chloride, etc. are also improved by using Ultr apak knitted sutures , which are soaked in a much greater amount of hemostatic solution than traditional sutures.
