Carbon steel scalpel blades are tools used in medicine, including dentistry, for precise tissue cutting. They are made of carbon tool steel and are characterized by high hardness and durability. Scalpel blades are typically used to remove soft tissues such as gums, mucosa, or soft tissues of the mouth. In dentistry, they are also used to precisely cut tissues when preparing the substrate for dental fillings, as well as to carry out surgical procedures, such as tooth removal or cutting out pathological lesions.
The types of blades for carbon steel scalpels may differ mainly in the shape of the tip, which affects their use in specific procedures. Some of the most commonly used are.

Blades type #10 and #15 - have a triangular tip, are used to cut out tissues, e.g. during dental, plastic or ophthalmological surgery.
