Tracing paper and silicones for bite registration are materials used in dentistry to achieve precise registration of a patient's bite. Tracing paper is thin sheets made of wax or foil that are placed on the surface of the teeth and pressurized to impress their shape and arrangement. Silicones, on the other hand, are elastic materials that can be applied to the teeth using special overlays or a brush and then fixed to obtain an accurate representation of the bite. Bite registration is important to design appropriate prostheses, aligners or braces that will perfectly fit the patient's teeth.
